Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games Qualifying Time Standards

UPDATE: Effective April 9. 2024, the rules for Paris 2024 have been changed to no longer require that in order to be eligible for consideration of a Universality invitation, athletes must have participated in the World Aquatics Championships held in 2023 Fukuoka, Japan or in 2024 Doha, Qatar. Athletes entering through Universality are limited to a maximum of two (2) Olympic Games in his/her career or not being older than the age of thirty (30) years as of 1 January 2025.

The new rules for Paris 2024 continue to require that in order to qualify, an athlete must minimally meet the “B” Olympic Consideration Time (OCT) set out below.

All times must be earned in a 50-meter pool at an Olympic qualifying event. Times must be achieved within the qualifying period of 01 March 2023 to 23 June 2024.

“Nobody is entitled as of right to participate in the Olympic Games.“* At all times and regardless of qualification achievement, the decision to permit Guam participation in the Olympic Games rests solely within the exclusive jurisdiction and discretion of the Guam National Olympic Committee.
