The East Asian Olympic Committee has announced that swimming has been removed from the program of the 2023 East Asian Youth Games to be held in Ulaanbataar, Mongolia.

As a result, athletes participating in the 2023 Micronesian Games and/or the 2023 Pacific Games do not need to include the Youth East Asian Games on their applications to the GNOC.
